1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website ferraldo.com ("Website") and your participation in the Ferraldo Grant Programme ("Programme"). By accessing the Website or submitting an application, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Website or participate in the Programme.

Ferraldo is operated by Douglas, trading as Ferraldo under the business name FitzcaraldoFerris ("we", "us", "our"), registered in Ireland.

2. Eligibility

To apply to the Ferraldo Grant Programme, you must be aged 18 or over at the date of application, be a legal resident of Ireland or a member state of the European Economic Area (EEA), and be operating or developing a micro-enterprise or early-stage business venture. Employees, officers, and immediate family members of Ferraldo, its affiliates, and judging panel members are not eligible to apply.

3. Application Process

Applications are submitted through our online application form hosted on Typeform. Each application requires a non-refundable application fee of €27, payable by credit or debit card via Stripe. You may submit only one application per grant cycle. By submitting an application, you confirm that all information provided is true, accurate, and complete to the best of your knowledge. Ferraldo reserves the right to disqualify any application that contains false or misleading information.

A free postal entry route is available for each grant cycle. Details of the postal entry process, including the required postal address, are published in the Competition Rules for each cycle.

4. Application Fee

The €27 application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including where an application is incomplete, ineligible, or unsuccessful. By paying the application fee, you acknowledge that the fee covers the administrative cost of processing and evaluating your application and does not guarantee any award, feedback, or outcome.

5. Judging and Awards

All applications are assessed by an independent judging panel using a published scoring rubric. The judging criteria, weighting, and process are set out in the Competition Rules for each grant cycle. Winner selection is 100% merit-based with no element of chance.

One or more awards totalling up to €2,500 may be made per grant cycle. Ferraldo reserves the right to adjust the number and size of awards at its sole discretion, including the right to make no award if no application meets the minimum quality threshold. All judging decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding individual scores or outcomes.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all intellectual property in your business, idea, and application materials. By submitting an application, you grant Ferraldo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use your business name, a brief description of your venture, and any testimonial you provide, solely for the purposes of promoting the Ferraldo Grant Programme. This licence does not extend to your business plans, financial data, proprietary methods, or confidential information.

7. Confidentiality

Ferraldo treats all application data as confidential. Application materials will only be shared with members of the judging panel for the purpose of assessment. Ferraldo will not sell, licence, or otherwise share your application data with third parties for commercial purposes. Our full data handling practices are set out in our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

Ferraldo provides the Website and Programme on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, Ferraldo excludes all warranties, representations, and guarantees, whether express or implied. Ferraldo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website or participation in the Programme, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunity.

Ferraldo's total liability to you in connection with the Programme shall not exceed the amount of the application fee paid by you.

9. Modifications

Ferraldo reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where practical, by email to registered applicants. Your continued use of the Website after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
