When does Cycle 001 open?
Applications open on Sunday 9 March 2026 and close on Sunday 25 March 2026 at 23:59 GMT. Results will be published within 14 days of the closing date.
Who can apply?
Anyone aged 18 or over who is a legal resident of Ireland or the European Economic Area (EEA) and is operating or developing a micro-enterprise or early-stage business. See the full eligibility criteria in our Competition Rules.
Is the application fee refundable?
No. The €27 application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. A free postal entry route is available — see our Competition Rules for details.
How are applications assessed?
All applications are scored by an independent judging panel using a published rubric with five equally weighted criteria. Winner selection is 100% merit-based with no element of chance. Full details are in our Competition Rules.

Can I apply to multiple cycles?
Yes. You may submit one application per grant cycle. Previous applicants (whether successful or unsuccessful) are welcome to apply again in future cycles.
